I would only click on an ad that is relevant to me, on a blog’s post page. That way, there is still a chance that I would buy from the advertiser – now or in the future.

If there are no ads, there’s not much you can do. In the case of Seth Godin, you could support him by using Squidoo for example, but that will not give him feedback on a specific post.

Where possible, I would post a comment instead (or also), to let the author know that I appreciated the post.

If there are no other actions on a blog post page, there’s not much you can do – except perhaps ping back from your own blog.

That’s a thought to think about.

But what do you do when there is no ad on a blog? Like on Seth’s Blog.

You can’t give any tip for the author’s good writing. You only can reward him with a link or something else to give him more popularity.
